This course is intended for those who already have a valid FAW or who have not expired more than one month (3 years 1 month). You must be able to present a copy of your old certificate and give it to the instructor during the practical part of the course. At the start of the online course, you will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the second practical part. Once you have a qualifying FAW, you can complete the course in just two days in class, or one day online and one day in class.


 This regulated credential is ideal for those already working or preparing to work in the industry and aspire to become a first aid worker in the workplace for purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations year. 1981 and Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations since 1982. . Recommended course length is 3 days and topics covered include:

 roles and responsibilities of first aid providers; assess incidents, recognize signs and symptoms of injury and illness, assist victims of serious injury and illness, chest trauma, spinal cord injury, and anaphylaxis. Qualifications are assessed by continuous oral and/or written questions and factual demonstrations.


 In May 2016, HSE and certification bodies announced that computer-based blended training is now permitted for all workplace first aid courses. You can now become a fully trained first aid worker in the workplace with two days of classroom training upon completion of this online course.  All successful students will receive a Certificate of completion, detailing their achievements. HSE stipulates that to be valid in the workplace, learners must retake the Occupational First Aid certification before the expiration of 3 years from the date of initial certification. If it's not more than one calendar month in this 3-year period, you can retake the course in two days instead of three. We call this our “renormalization” course.
