Security Medical Responder

Security Medical Responder

Do you hold an SIA License? From the from 1 April 2021, you must have a first aid qualification before you can take the training required for a door supervisor or security guard licence. But is that really enough to enable you to confidentially deal with a medical emergency whilst carrying out your security role?

We have designed this bespoke Security Medical Responder course to teach you some more in-depth scenarios you may encounter whilst working your security role.

The course covers both Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Level 2 (VTQ) as required by the SIA for your license approval but has a deeper look into situations you may have to deal with such as stabbings, serious bleeding, use of tourniquets and chest seals, acid attacks, suspected drug overdoses and more.

Our team of trainers both hold at least a Level 4 pre-hospital care qualification and are SIA license holders giving them extensive knowledge within the two roles to deliver this course to a high standard.

Do you need SIA training? We work closely with a local SIA approved training centre who offer cost effective training.

This course runs for one long day and is suitable for students aged 18+ who hold or is looking to hold an SIA License.
